A little off subject for me

First of all, I'm not an Obama supporter. Lets just get that out there. I voted for McCain I was born a Republican and I'm from Texas. Enough said. Obviously something needs to happen to reform our healthcare system, right? Are you more upset that he lied or are you more upset at his plan? I'm not much of a politician but I do know that they lie. Now, Obama scares the (four letter word) out of me but he has to do something. What do you think he should do in this situation?

I happen to be a sales manager of a Ford dealership in Northern California and it really frustrates me to see our government bailing out companies like Chrysler and GM who have been so irresponsible. Unfortunatley, if he didn't do what needed to be done our country would most likely be in a world of hurt right now. Ford saw this coming and has been reducing expenses for the last three years meanwhile producing some of its best product EVER! Surpassing Honda and Toyota in quality. In a way the two companies who have fallen on their faces could potentially come out of this ahead of Ford if the consumers feel like they want to buy a car that they have a vested interest in. This is all very frustrating to me!

I'm definitely not defending Obama as some of his latest overseas comments have scared the (four letter word again) out of me but I'm not sure he has much of a choice in some of these matters. Do I think that McCain was the better canditate? Yes. Do I think Obama is stuck between a rock and a hard place? Yes.

Big Papa D is a confused man right now, ask me something about sports and I can give you a clear cut answer!Cool

Couple Things

First of all, the Cowboys draft was horrible. We didn't get one impact player that can step in and help us next year. I like the Mcgee pick because we were in desperate need of a backup quarterback and I think with Jason Garrett coaching him up he'll be a good quarterback in this league. Other than that, I've never heard of most of these players. We needed help at the safety position and I don't think we drafted a guy that can step in and start right away. We drafted a bunch of developmental players which could work out but we'll have to wait and see. The only positive I can take from our draft is that we can develop these players for depth.

Second thing is the rookie pay scale. The league and its owners need to step in and do something about this. To guarantee $41.7 million to a rookie who has never played a game in the NFL is ridiculous! If this pick doesn't pay off for the Lions it could set them back financially for years to come. I'm not saying that Stafford isn't a good pick but he's making more money than players who have actually proven themselves. I think that unless this issue is addressed the NFL is heading for a disaster. Teams can't afford to take on these kind of risks! I don't understand why a guy like Cassell isn't making this kind of money. Here is a guy who has actually proven himself in this league and isn't making near the kind of money being paid to Stafford. Where is the logic here?

And that's all I have to say about that!

Cowboys depth

With the depth on the Dallas Cowboys roster this year I think you will be hard pressed to find a team that will beat the Cowboys for the top spot in the NFC. Terrance Newman will not be starting this week and knowone is panicking. Normally, everyone would be freaking out with our top corner out but with Pacman or excuse me, Adam, on our roster and starting in his place, it's no big deal....While I do think Braylan Edwards is due for a huge day they will be no match for the mighty Cowboys.
